Scott Zodin. Four Decades. One Standard. Yours.

An Investment Advisory Professional Since 1987. A Fiduciary Since Day One.

Most advisors started in sales. Scott started with a question: What would happen if you built a firm that only did what was right for the client?

That question led to Keel Wealth Management — an independent Registered Investment Advisor built on one principle: your advisor should work for you. Not for a brokerage. Not for a product company. Not for a commission check. For you.

Nearly Four Decades in the Business

Scott Zodin has been an investment advisory professional since October 1987. He has served clients as a financial advisor, a producing branch manager, and a Registered Investment Advisor — experience that spans every side of the wealth management business.

That breadth matters. Scott has seen how the industry works from the inside — the conflicts, the incentives, the layers of fees most clients never see. He built Keel Wealth Management to be the opposite of all of it: independent, transparent, and accountable to no one but the client.

Education

Scott holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science in Science and Technology Commercialization from the Red McCombs School of Business, also at The University of Texas. That combination of finance and technology isn’t a coincidence — it’s the foundation of how KWM operates today, integrating AI-powered research and execution tools into a deeply personal advisory relationship.

Beyond the Office

Scott serves on the board of a local Austin start-up based on intellectual property licensed from UT Austin — a reflection of his lifelong commitment to innovation and building things that matter.

He has been married to his wife Lisa for 37 years. They have two grown daughters living and working in Houston.

When Scott isn’t managing portfolios or building financial plans, he’s a commercial-rated airplane pilot — because the same discipline, precision, and calm decision-making that keeps you safe at 10,000 feet is exactly what you want from the person managing your wealth.

Scott and his family are proud supporters of Helping Hand Home for Children, The Center for Child Protection, and Communities in Schools — because some things are more important than markets.

Why It Matters

There are plenty of advisors who can build a portfolio. Scott built something different: a firm where every decision — every trade, every recommendation, every conversation — is made with one question in mind:

Is this in the client’s best interest?

If the answer isn’t yes, it doesn’t happen. That’s what fiduciary means. That’s what independent means. That’s what Keel Wealth Management is.
